Midwife Midwifery Care

“ I believe birth is transcendent, empowering, organic, intense, & reverent. A literal labyrinth of life”. . .

Hey, I’m Lindsay!

I am the founder and licensed certified professional Midwife (CPM) of Indigo Midwifery. A practice that has evolved from what was once just a vision. My mission is to provide comprehensive holistic care that is safe, nurturing, ethical, and empowering. The kind of care that supports our innate ability to create a healthy pregnancy and in return a healthy child. I believe women can achieve a fulfilling and enjoyable pregnancy and birth, especially when it's supported in a way that's closest to nature. I continue to kneel in awe of the strength, determination, & sacred work of women.

Having completed my education and training through the traditional route of the NARM apprenticeship process. I have been in the heart of birth work since 2015 and began my Midwifery training in 2018. My own journey to & through motherhood, I discovered my calling. It was truly in divine timing, that I realized I am meant to serve families in a capacity that is much greater than me and leaves a profound impact that lasts generation after generation. Toward the end of my doula career, while supporting a mother in the traditional hospital setting, and after the turn of events that occurred; I knew that creating space for empowered, cherished, joyful, respected, valued, informed, and supported alongside a "healthy mom and baby", were the missing elements in modern maternity care.

Our society has evolved beyond the outdated standard U.S. maternity care system that we've been living with for years. Many families are living in the wakes of grief, confusion, frustration, & apprehension after their birth experience(s) in the hospital setting. Now, there's more opportunity than ever to create or recreate your birth story. In a way that serves and supports your unique desires and needs.

I am very conscientious & intentional about the care I provide mothers & their newborns with. Resulting in experiences that are healthier, trauma-free and have happier outcomes. Accompanying women/families through this life transition, has a momentous impact on the family unit -which lasts for generations. My care is unique because I see birth (in all forms) as a reverent once-in-a-lifetime experience. A descent into the unknown, followed by transcendence into the beautiful, messy, organic, motherhood. This is the living labyrinth of life.

I build trusting relationships through providing ample time, with trauma-informed and woman centric care, and supportive guidance. You will be aware of your options, feel heard and encouraged, uplifted and at-ease. Built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust, your entire experience will leave you feeling confident, safe, and nurtured. Always having this awareness to turn to when you need it throughout your journey in Motherhood.

It is an honor to join you on your journey through creation…

My Vision

To bridge the gap for families who desire access to birth options that more closely align with their beliefs & needs.

Supporting the next generation(s) through birth, in turn, leaving this world better than we found it.

My Mission

I create a safe container to guide, educate, and hold mothers, so that she can feel & integrate the positive effects of her experience. In return, helping to heal the future generations, while returning birth back to its essence. By providing informed, personalized, safe, & comprehensive care, families can discover what it’s like to have a pleasurable, dignified, and healing experience.

“Lindsay is the definition of empowering, stress-free & safe. My prenatal care, birthing experience & postpartum was unlike any of my other births.

I am a student midwife in the “Primary Midwife under Supervision” phase of the NARM PEP process to become a certified professional midwife. I have spent the majority of my apprenticeship under Lindsay, attending births in the home setting–during which I have been developing the skills necessary for safe, empowering midwifery care. Along with hands-on practice in prenatal appointments, births, and postpartum visits, I continuously update my knowledge of pregnancy and birth care through various in person and online trainings, self study, preceptor led classes and research. I anticipate completing my midwifery training by summer 2026. In addition to my work as a student midwife, I am a postpartum doula providing traditional, in-home, mother-centered postpartum care and a placenta encapsulation specialist. This work is truly my soul’s calling and I feel honored to walk alongside women and families during these sacred times.

My philosophy is rooted in a deep belief in women’s ability to birth and her ability to make the best decisions for herself and her baby. Informed consent is the foundation of every aspect of the care I provide. It is only through in-depth discussions exploring the risks, benefits and alternatives that true informed consent can be achieved and the family can feel confident in their choices. The non-rushed, intentional and individualized care midwifery offers ensures the client-midwife relationship is one built on trust–this is vital for safe community care. This trust allows space for intuition– from both the midwife and the woman which I believe is just as important as any vital sign or symptom. I believe that birth is a profound transformation into motherhood–and should be treated with reverence. By improving birth experiences, we can change our future.

My role is to inform, empower, listen to, and support you every step away– never to take your power or choices from you.

Your holistic birth journey starts here.
